CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator

Contek are recruiting for a CNC Miller to join an established company in Redditch. This company have been in business for decades and operate a niche market. Due to workload increasing over the year they are now looking to add the next machinist to their team of engineers.

You must be an experienced Miller who is familiar with the process of Programming, Setting and Operating. You do not need to have used Prototrak but it would be an advantage as you will be operating XYZ Machine Tools.

Responsibilities;

  • Program, Set and Operate XYZ Mills.
  • Produced low batch components as little as 1 off.
  • Inspection of your own component before Quality.
  • Working with small precision components.
  • Converting drawings to the finished product.
  • Manual machining where required.

Experience required;

  • Experience as a CNC Miller who has used any programming language. and is conversant with programming.
  • Ability to work to complex drawings where required.
  • Apprenticeship or a solid engineering foundation.
  • Able to work to tight tolerances.
  • Happy to work as an individual or as a team.

Hours;

This role offers flexible hours between the time the workshop is open. You must complete 40 hours per week between07:00 - 16:30.

Overtime is available in this role paid at 1.5x.
