Parks Development Officer

Hourly rate: £16.10

Hours: 37 Monday-Friday, including some evenings/weekends if required Agile pending needs of service

Location: Redditch Town Hall B98 8AH

Contract: 3 months with review for extension

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Redditch& Bromsgrove Councils for a Parks Development Officer to support the day to day delivery of the Councils greenspaces services.

Key Responsibilities(not exhaustive):

  • Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Develop service strategies and improvement plans.
  • Manage and maintain accurate data records.
  • Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management.
  • Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes.
  • Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy.
  • Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity.
  • Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues.
  • Lead on the marketing and promotion of services.
  • Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated success in a mid to senior-level role within a customer-focused environment.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in biodiversity, landscape, or related areas is highly desirable.
  • Experience within Green Spaces is essential or related
