Overview:
An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bench Hand to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Redditch. This role will be a key part of the Machining Division, where the successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-precision parts for large aerospace customers across the UK.
Scope and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for deburring machined components from CNC machines.
- Assist in other areas of the production process as required.
- Use a range of hand tools such as grinders, sanding discs, sanding wheels, and stones to complete tasks.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understand the importance of 'Right First Time' quality assurance.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Be flexible with overtime and working in other areas when required.
- Willingness to work across different shift patterns.
- Proven experience using hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and drill-mounted grinding wheels.
- Milling, grinding, or CNC experience would be an advantage.
- Strong hand-to-eye coordination and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience with hand deburring tools is essential.
