As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in the learning journey of Key Stage 2 pupils while preparing for your own career in teaching.

The RoleWe are seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant with a strong academic background in English or Mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a KS2 classroom, working closely with experienced teachers and supporting pupils’ progress in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to boost attainment in English and Maths.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining discipline.
  • Provide feedback to pupils to encourage growth and confidence.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of the students and school community.

What We’re Looking For

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or above in English, Mathematics, or a related subject.
  • Passion for education and a strong desire to pursue a career in teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability.
  • Previous experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is desirable but not essential.
