Contek are recruiting for a Toolmaker/Manual Machinist to join an established company in Redditch. This position is suitable for an experienced engineer who has worked on Manual Machines in an engineering setting or as a Toolmaker or similar.

Serving a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive or General Engineering you will be a part of a team of experienced engineers to help modify or create components for a vast client base across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Machining using Mills, Lathes, Grinders and EDM Machines (EDM not essential).
• Working to engineering drawings and completing work within tolerance.
• Working alone or as part of a team to fulfil orders on time.
• Inspect your own work where needed.
• Use your knowledge and experience to work as efficiently as possible.
• Modify or manufacturenew tooling.

Essential:

• Experienced on conventional machine tools.
• Apprenticeship served or a solid engineering foundation.
• Ability to work to drawings.
• Either general engineering or toolmaking experience.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday
07:00 - 16:30PM

Friday
07:00 - 15:00PM

Overtime is available in this role and will be paid at 1.5x
