We are looking to recruit a HSE Manager, who’s purpose on a daily basis will be to manage and implement the companies HSE policy. Providing guidance and information on both the legal standards and best practices.

Responsibilities of the HSE Manager:

  • Develop, maintain and keep up to date all local safety management systems.
  • Take the lead on the site Environmental improvement activities.
  • Take control of the sites improvement plans, making sure that plans are updated.
  • Capture, log and record all site based data.
  • Work with line managers on all aspects of HSE, being the subject matter expert and lead contact on site.
  • Identify areas of risk, accident trends, whilst implementing solutions.
  • Ensure all risk areas are covered, making sure the H&S teams are competent and well trained.
  • Keep up to date with new and forthcoming legislation, assessing it for business impact.
  • Take part in new plant preplanning, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Maintain and keep up to standard the sites emergency response systems.
  • Audit, analyse and report on the environmental performance to internal stakeholders and where required regulatory bodies.

What we are looking for in the HSE Manager:

  • Ideally experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confident providing training.
  • Experience with COSHH assessments.
