About the Role:
Redditch Borough Council is hiring a Housing Income Advisor to manage former tenant accounts and support debt recovery on garage and sub-accounts. The role involves close collaboration with Income Officers to help tenants sustain tenancies, live independently, and prevent homelessness. You'll play a key role in supporting service initiatives, responding to tenant inquiries, and managing debt cases according to council policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage former tenant debt accounts and assist in debt recovery
  • Provide initial tenancy advice, including Universal Credit and benefit guidance
  • Respond to tenant inquiries and liaise with internal colleagues for effective case management
  • Support promotional arrears campaigns and outreach
  • Maintain accurate case files and independently manage a caseload
  • Handle tenancy-related queries, including disrepair and Home Buy

  • Relevant experience in a customer service or housing role
