Position Overview:Due to expansion, we are seeking to recruit a new Recovery Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, handling correspondence, and interacting with customers and third parties to resolve accounts. This role requires a high standard of service, professionalism, and empathy, especially when dealing with potentially challenging accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and action accounts at various diary statuses, ensuring they are progressing correctly.
  • Update computer records following activities such as Enforcement Agent visits, telephone calls, or correspondence.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements in line with client guidelines.
  • Compose bespoke replies and manage standard computerised letters.
  • Handle telephone calls and in-person visits from defendants, clients, debt advisory groups, and third parties.
  • Ensure appropriate actions for potentially vulnerable customers based on client guidelines.
  • Understand different forms of insolvency and their impact on regulations.
  • Answer customer inquiries related to insolvency proceedings via telephone or correspondence.
  • Maintain a high standard of service, acting professionally, respectfully, and ethically.
  • Cover other roles such as Contact Centre, Client Liaison, Enquiry Officer, and Attachment of Earnings Administrator as required.
  • Assist with any other duties within the scope of the job purpose.
