About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Materials Planner to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that material supply meets production schedules while maintaining minimal stock levels to guarantee operational continuity. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless material flows and contribute to the overall success of production. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop their skills in material planning, supply chain management, and operations.

You’ll Be Working On:
- Scheduling the supply of materials and components to meet production schedules, maintaining safety stock levels.
- Assessing volume requirements and match them against planning assumptions.
- Managing day-to-day order handling and supplier delivery scheduling.
- Identifying and managing risks to minimise production schedule disruption.
- Address any material shortages and take corrective actions, escalating when necessary.
- Ensuring adherence to processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Handle other ad-hoc administrative tasks supporting the department.
Skills & Attributes:
- Commercial awareness and a full understanding of how failure impacts costs, production time, and customer order fulfilment
- Highly organised and results-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
- A keen interest in material planning and supply chain management.
- Basic understanding of relevant software such as Sage or WMS is a plus but not essential.
