Maintenance Engineer
The shift is a weekly rotational 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm - Monday to Friday
£37'500 per year
The company are a leading manufacturer of plastic/PVC products. They are seeking to recruit a fully qualified maintenance engineer for their operations facility.
As a maintenance engineer or maintenance technician you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in industrial settings. You will oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs.
ResponsibilitiesAs a maintenance engineer, you'll need to:
Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methodsCarry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faultsDiagnose breakdown problemsFit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctlyLiaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleaguesArrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
Key skills for this role are as follows;
Electrically qualified (17th or 18th edition)Experience of 3 phase power supplyMulti skilled - both electrically and mechanicallyHold a recognised electrical qualificationKnowledge of plastic mould and PVC extrusion machineryPLC experience
The role is based in the Redditch area so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Solihull, West Bromwich, Droitwich, Stratford upon Avon.
