Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, and optimising resource allocation to meet production targets. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to enhance overall productivity.
Duties
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Utilise SAP systems for tracking production progress and managing inventory levels effectively.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards before distribution.
- Liaise with various departments, including manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Analyse business processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency in production scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and adjustments as necessary.
- Proven experience in a scheduling role within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with SAP, EFACS or similar ERP systems is essential for effective scheduling and tracking.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding production equipment and processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively within a team setting.
