There is an immediate requirement for a Toolmaker to join a successful, Redditch based manufacturing company. The role will require the candidate to be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings for a variety of high industry aerospace customers across the UK
Main Responsibilities of the Toolmaker:
- Manufacture extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials
- Eradicating process variability and implementing robust controls (NPI)
- Provide manual milling and surface grinding
- Manufacture single-stage clip tools
- Service and repair (PPM)
- Ensuring the quality of parts
- Apprentice trained time served toolmaker (or 5 years experience in a toolroom).
- Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment, preferably producing aerospace/automotive products would be desired.
- Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of measuring equipment (Micrometres, height gauges understanding both imperial and metric)
- Knowledge and experience operating CNC machine tools
- Overtime is paid at a premium rate and available straight away
