MOT Tester required for immediate ongoing contract.
Opus People Solutions on behalf of Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Council are looking for an experienced MOT Tester with a minimum of 5 years MOT Testing experience and preferably experience in testing Taxi vehicles including 6 monthly and annual Inspections, as well as accident damaged vehicle Inspections along with Council vehicle Fleet for an ongoing contract.
The successful candidate will be based at Bromsgrove Central Depot on Aston Road, however, will need to support the Redditch Borough Council Depot at Crossgate for MOT & Taxi testing whenever needed to support and fill in for the full-time tester when on holiday, training or ill. You will be working alongside a small, friendly team, in an environment where you are more than just a number, and part of a close working team that support each other and where safety and quality come in place of additional sales and profit.
As an MOT & Taxi tester, you will undertake the MOT Inspections of our light Fleet of vehicles as well as carrying out Taxi MOT and 6 monthly and annual Inspections, with some additional accident damage Taxi and Fleet vehicles when required. You will be expected to maintain and manage the MOT Diary daily to meet all the booked appointments as necessary and to report any customers or vehicles to management immediately that have not turned up for their appointment or have any major concerns or are refused from testing.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in a fleet workshop and have the following:
- Experienced DVSA nominated tester class 4 (5&7 is highly desirable but not essential)
- Taxi Testing Inc 6 monthly & Annual Inspections + Accident damage Inspections desirable
- Managing an MOT daily Diary Calander so that every booked appointment is completed & confirmed
