Permanent Position£26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOEFlexible Holiday Entitlement, Other company benefits are available.Free onsite parkingStraight Day Shift. I am currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Redditch.  Due to growth, they now have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join their existing Quality team based on the shop floor, working on the standard dayshift pattern. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for:
  • Conducting inspection of springs, wireforms and assemblies using a variety of manual inspection equipment.
  • Completing 1st off and final inspection procedures.
  • Creating and follow inspection plans based on engineering drawings.
  • Collaborating with other departments to review internal and external non-conformance.
  • Generating detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Identifying potential quality issues and proactively suggest corrective actions.
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
  • Communicating effectively with production personnel and engineers regarding inspection results.
The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector role will have: 
  • A good knowledge of inspection equipment.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Gained previous experience in a similar role, working in an Aerospace/Automotive environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of Root Cause Analysis (ie. Fishbone, 8D, 5Y).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
  • Conversant with the requirements of AS9100 and NADCAP and familiar with the requirements of SABRe.
  • A formal qualification in Quality or be keen to obtain one.
