About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Redditch. This is a full-time position offering a competitive daily rate of £150-£200, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a love for teaching and the ability to inspire students to explore the exciting world of food preparation, nutrition, and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Prepare students for assessments and practical cooking exams.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and encourage student participation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in the kitchen classroom.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for food education.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
