Colmore Education are currently looking for SEN TAs for a lovely primary SEN school in Redditch.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to provide tailored support for students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and reach their potential.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies for SEN students.
  • Use creative and adaptive teaching techniques to engage and support students in learning activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help manage and modify classroom behavior to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents as needed.
  • Support students with physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting independence and positive self-esteem.
  • Assist with any physical or personal care requirements for SEN students when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with the school’s SEN team, teachers, and other support staff to deliver effective learning strategies.
Qualifications:
  • [Relevant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certification, or equivalent experience preferred.]
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of SEN needs and best practices for supporting students in an inclusive environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
