Permanent PositionStraight Day Shifts & Early finish on FridaysCompany Perks, including social events, cycle to work and employee assistance programmes.Competitive Salary, DOE We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to a re-structure are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their existing team. Reporting to the Finance Director the Key Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager will include but not be limited to:
  • Developing supply chain strategy to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the supply chain function and be responsible for measuring performance through KPIs.
  • Support the proper utilisation of the ERP system.
  • Manage the internal buying process for the future goals.
  • Responsible for all forecasting.
  • Working with internal department to ensure all consumables are readily available.
  • Working with the Sales Dept to ensure materials are sourced in the most cost-effective way.
The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Manager will have the following Experience and Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supply chain / manufacturing environment preferably oil & gas and/or aerospace.
  • 3+ years’ experience of being a people leader of an operations related team.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP business systems.
  • Excellent planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • CIPS qualification
  • Good knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the business.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
In return, the Purchasing Manager can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39 hour week – working hours are 8-5 Monday to Thursday and 8-1 Fridays.
