Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Transport Planner to join our clients logistics team. The Transport Planner will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role involves working closely with drivers, operations teams, and customers to coordinate and streamline transportation operations while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and optimize transport routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Coordinate daily schedules for drivers and vehicles, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Monitor traffic and weather conditions to proactively adjust plans as needed.
Manage and update transportation databases, ensuring accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and driver schedules.
Work closely with warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to address transportation-related issues and delays.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transport regulations and safety standards.
Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Provide support for any emergency or unplanned logistical issues.

Requirements:

Proven experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
