Job Advert: Semi Senior Auditor/Accountant

Location: Redhill

Our client, a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants based in Redhill, is currently recruiting for a talented Semi Senior Auditor/Accountant ACA/ACCA to join their dynamic team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auditor/Accountant to join a well-established and forward-thinking firm that provides clear career advancement, with genuine partnership prospects for the right candidate. The successful applicant will work as part of a team, reporting directly to the Directors, and will be responsible for leading audit assignments, accounts production, and supervising junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-audit meetings and plan assignments in collaboration with the Directors and clients.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, offering guidance and support throughout the audit process.
  • Plan a risk-based audit approach and design effective audit tests.
  • Conduct audit work to meet objectives and compliance standards.
  • Manage and control job budgets efficiently.
  • Finalise audit files for Director review.
  • Prepare accounts and tax computations.
  • Produce and present management accounts.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Recently or part-qualified ACA/ACCA.
  • Significant, recent audit experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in UK GAAP and FRS 102 reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • A proactive team player who is also comfortable leading junior team members.
