We are seeking a Group Accountant to join our finance team, with a focus on enhancing our financial processes and controls. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or Qualified By Experience with solid experience in month-end procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal auditing.

Main Job Description
  • Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the review and walkthrough of internal processes and controls, identifying any deficiencies.
  • Provide recommendations and insights on the design and implementation of effective internal controls.
  • Support the finance team with month-end closing activities and the preparation of management accounts.
  • Participate in reforecasting and budgeting exercises to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as required to support the finance department.
Experience
  • Part-qualified or Qualified By Experience with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with month-end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proven track record in streamlining processes, designing, and implementing effective controls.
  • Auditing experience focused on internal controls is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
