Are you an experienced Group Risk Consultant looking for your next career move? Do you have strong expertise in DC Pensions, Group Income Protection (GIP), Private Medical Insurance (PMI), and Group Life Assurance (GLA)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you, working for a leading Accountancy Practice with offices based across the South East. The role will be focusing on the Rehill and Surrey areas.

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading firm looking to expand their Employee Benefits team with a Group Risk Consultant. This role is all about business development and relationship management—you'll be responsible for growing a portfolio of clients, developing strong industry relationships both in-house and externally, and delivering expert advice on group risk products.You'll have the autonomy to manage your own time, working from home, visiting client sites, and occasionally attending the office when needed. The focus is on winning new business while maintaining exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development - Identify and secure new clients, leveraging existing industry contacts and generating referrals.
  • Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain long-term relationships with SMEs, mid-market, and corporate firms.
  • Consulting & Advisory - Provide expert advice on GIP, PMI, and GLA while identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional services.
  • Project Management - Oversee client accounts, ensuring renewals and service agreements are managed effectively.
  • Compliance & Industry Knowledge - Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Employee Benefits.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience - Proven background in Group Risk consulting or Employee Benefits advisory.
  • Industry Knowledge - Strong understanding of GIP, PMI, and GLA is essential; DC pensions experience is an advantage.
  • Sales & Commercial Acumen - A proactive approach to business development and revenue growth.
  • Relationship Builder - Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients at all levels.
  • Self-Starter - Ability to manage your own time and workload effectively in a hybrid working environment.
  • Qualifications - DipPFS qualified and keen to work towards Chartered status
