Working across two college sites in Redhill and SouthCroydon, our client is looking to hire a Careers & Employability Advisor to join this successful college group.

Job Title: Careers and Employability Advisor - Level 6 CIAG

Salary: £35,812 - £37,989

Hours: onday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.00pm

Location: Redhill with some travel to the South Croydon site

In this exciting role, you will need experience of working in an educational setting providing Careers IAG, have employability skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and relate to young people.

  • Ensuring systems and procedures for UCAS, student finance and support are created, maintained and up to date.
  • Organise and arrange partnerships events with schools, employers and HE institutions, e.g. careers fair, HE fairs and other appropriate events
  • Researching and providing up to date reports that promotes local and national career opportunities and local market information and to keep learners and tutors informed of new developments and trends
  • To lead and deliver bespoke careers and employability programmes ensuring their appropriate embedding across the Curriculum.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Careers Guidance or relevant specialist careers qualification at Level 6
  • Up to date and authoritative knowledge of careers guidance work and developments in education / FE / HE employment and careers matters
  • Experience and knowledge of offering and delivering careers IAG to KS4 up to level 4 learners as well as standard 16-18, apprenticeships and adult employability programmes on an individual basis or group basis
  • Be committed in delivering high quality, independent and client focused career advice in one-to-one guidance sessions and other activities.
