We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team and support our ongoing contracts in the Kent, Sussex, and Surrey areas.
Job Description:
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems across multiple NHS properties. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all gas-related systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements, providing reliable services to healthcare facilities. You will be working across a range of sites in the Southeast region, primarily in Kent, Sussex, and Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances, heating systems, and associated pipework in NHS buildings and healthcare facilities.
- Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.
- Perform routine gas safety checks and inspections to identify potential faults and carry out necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Respond to emergency callouts and provide reactive support for gas-related issues.
- Provide expert advice to NHS clients regarding gas systems, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used, time spent, and inspections carried out.
- Work alongside other facilities management teams to ensure the smooth operation of all gas systems.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times and ensure that gas equipment is properly maintained.

- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer, ideally within the healthcare or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, including heating systems and appliances.
- Ability to diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and repair gas systems efficiently.
- Experience working across multiple sites and managing a varied workload.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in gas engineering.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
- Previous experience working with NHS or healthcare clients is desirable.
