Debt Recovery Advisor

  • Working pattern: Hybrid working- 2/3 days from the office

We are seeking a dedicated Debt Recovery Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing the portfolio of customers with overdue debt and ensuring efficient debt recovery processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and debt management, preferably within a utility company environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage customer portfolios to ensure timely debt recovery and minimize overdue payments.
  • Apply best practices in payment and debt processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in legal processes associated with debt management when necessary.
  • Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Communicate with customers diligently and professionally to negotiate and secure payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics and English Language, or equivalent.
  • Experience in portfolio management of customers with overdue debt.
  • Familiarity with billing, collection, and operational activities in a utility environment is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow systematic processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • E-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
