Summary: Teaching Assistant - MLD - Redhill
Specialist secondary school based in Redhill for student with MLD, looking for a Teaching Assistant
Classes range from 6-8 in size with a focus on implementing effective communication techniques
Therapy rooms and designated areas for specialist support from a range of therapists including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists and counsellors
An Integrated Trauma Informed Approach and extensive 1-1 support for every pupil
Specialist communication methods such as Makaton and PECS
Focus on preparation for GSCE subjects and building a curriculum that works for their individual needs
The school likes to focus on LSAs who know their objectives and who would like to continue their journey to become a speech and language therapist
A psychology degree or specialist SEN training is highly desirable
High levels of training and commitment to your professional development provided for those that have little experience
November starts depending on your availability - £85 - 100 per day - 8.30am-3.30pm
