1:1 Teaching Assistant Support
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Duration: Temporary, ongoing
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a cheerful and lively 5-year-old child in reception with Autism. The child is non-aggressive and requires a positive role model to stay with him throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to the child during school hours
- Assist with daily activities and routines
- Encourage social interaction and engagement
- Ensure the child’s safety and well-being
- Have lunch with the child and supervise during breaks
Breaks:
- Two 15-minute breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon)
- Lunch break with the child
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably with Autism
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to start immediately on a trial basis
