THE COMPANY
An Electrical Design Engineer vacancy has arisen for an innovative packaging & processing solutions organization based in South East England.

THE ROLE
As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be required to ensure optimum customer service and satisfaction through an innovative approach in the development of packaging and processing machinery and systems, utilising Electrical Engineering principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing electrical and electronic designs for new projects
  • Developing PLC programs for systems or equipment
  • Providing advice on electrical issues of machines or systems
  • Developing and documenting test procedures for designed machinery
  • Document to the required level for CE compliance, the electrics of equipment developed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Exposure to electrical layout, circuit boards, PLC
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry (Food & Beverage or Packaging)
  • Thorough understanding of electrical concepts, electrical power systems, computers and software
  • Knowledge & experience with AutoCAD Electrical /EPLAN and PLC programming
  • Knowledge of machinery safety concepts and requirements
  • Ability to write well structured, documented and reusable code
  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical Schematics
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
