We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Careers Lead to head our Careers and Industry Placement team. This role is crucial in shaping the future of students through impactful career guidance and industry placements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide line management, support, and direction to the Careers and Industry Placement teams across the colleges.
  • Work closely with the Vice Principal and Executive Director C&P to deliver the Gatsby benchmarks and Careers Strategy KPIs.
  • Promote the college with employers, sector bodies, schools, and the local community, developing effective partnerships with employers, funding agencies, and other representative bodies.
  • Drive placement completion across T levels and study programmes by leveraging your knowledge of national guidance, legislation, and quality benchmarks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Up-to-date and authoritative knowledge of careers guidance work and developments in Education, FE, HE employment, and careers matters.
  • Confident and engaging manner with prospective partners and employers.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of the education sector and employment sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong planning and organisational abilities, and great attention to detail.
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Careers Guidance or relevant specialist careers qualification at Level 6 is highly desirable.
  • Maths & English GCSE/Level 2 Equivalent.
  • Candidates with a Level 4 qualification in Careers IAG and relevant experience, who are willing to obtain a Level 6 qualification, are also encouraged to apply.
