Reed Finance are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful and growing SME with an excellent reputation and annual revenues exceeding £20m, currently seeking a Head of Finance to support and drive their aggressive growth plans.

This newly created role is ideal for someone with experience gained within a larger organisation, ready to take on a leadership position in an SME environment and drive growth as the company expands. Initially this role is expected for circa 21 hours per week in the office, however the pattern worked can be flexible.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee and manage a small accounts team.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to strategise and implement growth plans.
  • Engage in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Adapt and shape the role to meet the evolving needs of the business, with potential to progress to a Finance Director position.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management, gained within a company of a similar or larger size.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a growing business environment.
  • A full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred, however not essential.
