The chance to join an ambitious SME experiencing significant growth, looking for a dynamic Head of Finance to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small accounts team and be a key part of our senior leadership group, contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, leading a team of three accounts professionals, and working closely with the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a larger business environment and be eager to grow within this newly created role, driving the financial success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
  • Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or QBE!).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a larger business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to driving business improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
