Our client is seeking a qualified Tax Manager with experience in Financial Services on an initial 12-month fixed term contract to oversee all tax-related matters within the organisation. This role is vital in ensuring compliance, enhancing tax planning strategies, and managing key relationships with external tax teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including RAS, VAT, PSA, IPT, and Corporation Tax, ensuring full compliance with obligations and deadlines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for our third-party tax team, providing clear guidance and communication to align with our tax strategy and compliance needs
  • Manage and execute tax-related projects by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resource efficiency.
  • Analyse the tax landscape to identify risks and opportunities, making recommendations to optimise tax liabilities and adapt to changes in legislation.
  • Calculate necessary payments on account to maintain tax obligations while minimising cash flow disruption.

Salary - £90,000 to £100,000

Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office

Contract - 12 months

Experience Required:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified.
  • Experience of working within a similar Tax position within Financial Services - Essential
  • Strong understanding of UK tax law, including VAT and corporation tax
  • Proven experience managing tax compliance and preparing tax returns.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
