Role:
- Obtain an in-depth knowledge of the business and Satellite communication systems
- Liaise with the System Engineering team to help build, test, configure, install and support the business's satellite, network and IT systems
- To occasionally support the Field Service and System Engineering team in providing installation, support and commissioning engineering resource in the field
- Be an on-demand point of contact for the customer and the company through providing Datacom's and IT support
- Produce and maintain accurate and timely technical information and analyses on a variety of engineering investigations
- Provide assistance to the operations team for any escalated faults
- Set-up, Demonstration and training of complex satellite communication systems to meet customers' needs
Requirements:
- Essential - Educated to degree level in IT/Electronics/Computer Science or a related area, to a 2.1 degree level standard
- A knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Cisco and Linux operating systems is beneficial
- Ideally a full UK Driving License
- Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- Positive can-do attitude
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed
- Ideally, you'll have an understanding of communication and IT systems, including routers, switches, servers and more
