With offices in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA, they have extensive experience of working with some of the largest commercial maritime operators such as Teekay, NYK and MOL.

Role:

  • Obtain an in-depth knowledge of the business and Satellite communication systems
  • Liaise with the System Engineering team to help build, test, configure, install and support the business's satellite, network and IT systems
  • To occasionally support the Field Service and System Engineering team in providing installation, support and commissioning engineering resource in the field
  • Be an on-demand point of contact for the customer and the company through providing Datacom's and IT support
  • Produce and maintain accurate and timely technical information and analyses on a variety of engineering investigations
  • Provide assistance to the operations team for any escalated faults
  • Set-up, Demonstration and training of complex satellite communication systems to meet customers' needs

Requirements:

  • Essential - Educated to degree level in IT/Electronics/Computer Science or a related area, to a 2.1 degree level standard
  • A knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Cisco and Linux operating systems is beneficial
  • Ideally a full UK Driving License
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed
  • Ideally, you'll have an understanding of communication and IT systems, including routers, switches, servers and more
