We are excited to offer the opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Science and Access HE Lecturer to join a great college group in Surrey. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and assessing on Levels 2 - 3 BTEC applied science courses.

Day-to-day of the role of an Science Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions
  • Act as a personal tutor, promoting attendance and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within the department.
  • Potentially lead one or more Electrical Installation programmes as Course Leader.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching standards and student outcomes within the college.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Science Teacher role:

  • A full teaching qualification or currently working towards one.
  • Relevant FE teaching and assessing experience across BTEC levels 2 - 4
  • A Science based degree
  • Experience of tutoring and pastoral care for 16-19
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
