Description

  • To work closely with the People and Payroll Systems Project Manager for integration with a new Payroll and HR system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in the transfer of payroll data within project timelines.
  • Supporting the People and Payroll systems project manager in the testing of the payroll side of the new system and specifications required for the new system.
  • Work closely with the finance and accountancy team.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of data within the Unit 4 Payroll system, ensuring that this is recorded accurately before the data transfer and taking ownership in resolving issues where they arise, as well as putting in place measures to avoid future issues if appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships for the pension schemes:, eachers' Pension Scheme (TPS), Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), Peoples' Pension Fund
  • Work on data cleansing for all pension schemes before moving to a new Payroll system.
  • Reconciling the monthly MCR submissions.
  • Preparing the move to i-Connect for the Surrey LGPS submissions This will be similar to the monthly MCR submissions for TPS.
  • Reconciling and accurately monitoring movements of staff between pension schemes each month.
  • Preparing the annual returns and reconciliations for pensions including the End of Year Certificates.
  • To ensure that correct payments, reports and returns are made to HMRC, (including monthly Real Time Information (RTI) and annual year-end returns.
  • To liaise closely with Finance, ensuring that the monthly reconciliations for reporting and budgetary control purposes are undertaken.
  • Management of the two payroll officers providing direction and oversight of work and conducting regular meetings.
