Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and management of our internal Corporate and Customer managed IT Infrastructure and projects. This role is integral to our client’s IT team, delivering a quality 24/7 service to internal users and nominated customers using a variety of hardware and software products.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Build, maintain, and support the physical and virtual environment, network storage, backup, and recovery systems in our core networks.
• Ensure high service availability through daily maintenance and IT administration of the network.
• Build and support corporate IT infrastructure for headquarters and remote offices, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
• Maintain software compliance for all server operating systems and applications and manage client licenses including regular audits.
• Manage the email infrastructure including Exchange, cloud continuity services, SPAM filtering, and mobile device management (MDM).
• Follow and contribute to the department’s change control process and procedures.
• Build and maintain IT security infrastructure, including antivirus, update/patch management, and web filtering.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call IT rota, responding to emergencies as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• HND/Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or at least 10 years of experience in a demanding IT environment.
• In-depth experience with virtual environments (VMware), email services (Microsoft Exchange), and IT security.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS administration, Active Directory management, and network fundamentals.
• Ability to achieve Direct Vetted Status (DV).
• Desirable: Linux knowledge, experience with Blackberry UEM server or Mobile Device Management (MDM), and relevant Microsoft qualifications.
