Senior AWS Data Engineer, Surrey - Hybrid - Competitive salary

VIQU have partnered with an organisation that are prominent in the sporting industry who are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their expanding senior data team. The organisation is currently undergoing a large migration to AWS and so are seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to join their growing team.

The role will benefit of flexible hybrid working of 1-2 days onsite.

Requirements of the Senior AWS Data Engineer:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Senior AWS Data Engineer

- 3+ years experience in AWS with strong knowledge with S3 Buckets, Redshift, and Glue

- In depth AWS Data knowledge of Data Lake, RDS, Data Warehousing, S3, Kinesis, DBT, AWS Data Catalog and Alation

- Strong programming ability in PySpark and Python

- Exceptional attention to detail, confident communicator and self-starter

Responsibilities of the Data Architect:

- Build data solutions in AWS

- Regular use of S3, Redshift and Glue

- Lead other data engineers, taking up a mentoring role

- Implement data security protocols to protect company information

- Manage data retrieval, storage, across AWS estate
