Job specification:

  • Manage all aspects of the monthly billing cycle, including management reporting, and oversee the UK Airtime Billing team.
  • Ensure thorough understanding of company products and services, applying this knowledge to customer billing and providing reports for the CEO, Sales Director, and other colleagues.
  • Support other group teams to ensure consistency in processes and reporting across the company.
  • Manage data for provisioning orders, customer accounts, billing profiles, and rates.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the billing database.
  • Process requests for activations, deactivations, and changes to service packages, including notifying customers of early termination fees.
  • Ensure timely execution of the billing processes.
  • Oversee monthly billing cycles, ensuring accurate configuration of provisioning requests for billing.
  • Conduct daily/weekly checks for errors, unprocessed CDRs, or orders, resolving issues before billing runs.
  • Process invoices within product timeframes, validate them, and issue final invoices to customers.
  • Resolve queries promptly and produce analytical reports for billing and activation.
  • Manage Freshdesk airtime tickets, ensuring timely resolution and customer updates.
  • Process pre-paid voucher sales orders, invoices, and delivery of vouchers/pins.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of processes.
  • Approve incoming supplier invoices and collaborate with the finance team on purchase ledger activities.
  • Escalate and manage customer complaints.
  • Participate in the banking team, approving invoices within delegated authority procedures.
  • Lead and manage the Billing team, acting as the senior subject matter expert on all airtime-related matters.

Person specification:

  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Expertise in billing and provisioning, with a strong history of delivering exceptional global customer service.
  • Familiarity with telecom billing software and/or billing processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring quick resolution or escalation when necessary.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks, multitask effectively, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including creating pivot tables, charts, and performing complex lookup queries.
