Job Title: Warehouse Technician

Location: Redhill

Our client, a leading distribution centre based in Redhill, is currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join their team. As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting stock movement, delivering products to customers, assisting with stock transfers between sites, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and secure. Additionally, you will provide technical support, fix/repair products, and handle customer queries.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Support:

• Support stock movement within the warehouse, including deliveries and despatch.
• Accurately book in and despatch stock to customers while maintaining meticulous records on the system.
• Deliver products to customers, potentially utilising an appropriate vehicle when required.
• Assist in stock transfers between different sites.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse, adhering to security protocols at all times.
• Participate in stocktaking activities when requested.
• Provide support for all on-site facilities as needed.

Technician Support:

• Address technical queries from customers promptly and effectively.
• Perform quality control checks on products and conduct on-site repairs or fix products at customer locations.
• Develop procedures and processes where necessary.
• Test new products and demonstrate their features to customers.
• Update systems with bundled product details and communicate customer service updates.
• Test lithium-ion batteries in accordance with safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 20-25kg boxes without any issues to a height of 1.6m.
• Basic technical skills to fix bicycles or similar items.
• Familiarity with simple electrical devices such as lawnmowers and the ability to troubleshoot and repair them.
• Basic IT skills, including experience with CRM systems and basic Excel proficiency.
• Possession of a current and clean driving licence.
