Legal Administrator (Family Department)

Location: Redhill

Salary: £24,000

Working within our successful Family team, this is a role that will see the successful candidate supporting Lawyers and Paralegals with all administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities of the Administrator

  • Opening files for new matters using our bespoke practice management system.
  • Dealing with compliance procedures including Solicitor Checks, ID Documents, Evidence of Funds.
  • Preparing client engagement letters and virtual files.
  • Produce information by formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving and copying data in both Word and Excel, and uploading to shared platforms
  • Creating editable and non-editable PDF bundles of documents
  • Maintain client confidence by keeping Client/Lawyer communication free flowing
  • To produce work to the required professional standard to encourage referrals and repeat business.
  • Maintain the firm’s reputation of providing a quality legal service to the Firm’s standards as laid down in the Professional Standards Manual and other documents produced from time to time.
  • Engaging clients, developing client relationships and provide a high level of client service.
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing post; printing, scanning.
  • General administration tasks surrounding the operation of the firm, these could include (but not limited to) file audits, archiving, updating templates and drafting letters and raising IT tickets.
  • Raising invoices, transferring money, and managing disbursements
  • To manage work in accordance with the firm’s set procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all files are kept in a tidy manner in accordance with the firms’ procedures.
  • To ensure confidentiality and security of all documentation.
  • To process work efficiently and effectively.

The suitable candidate:

  • Will have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at A-C/4-9 or equivalent.
  • Be extremely organised and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and keen to offer support to the team and be relied on.
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Your verbal and written communication will be clear, straightforward, and accurate.
  • You will have the ability to use your own initiative and demonstrate excellent team working skills.
  • You will be adaptable, logical and work well under pressure.
