Role Overview
The Materials Handler will handle both physical and administrative tasks related to managing returned engineering parts and equipment. This includes receiving, organizing, processing, and accurately recording all returns activity.

Key Responsibilities

Returns Management:

  • Receive returned items into the spare parts warehouse and update the inventory system.
  • Inspect and verify returns against accompanying documentation, ensuring serial numbers, part numbers, and RMA details are correct.
  • Organize returns into designated categories for further processing: repair, quality checks, recycling, or scrapping.
  • Execute the necessary actions for each category, such as forwarding items for repair, arranging recycling, or disposing of scrap materials.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Safely handle materials using manual methods or equipment such as forklifts and bendi trucks.
  • Prepare items for delivery or pickup, including picking and packing parts.
  • Perform loading duties and occasionally deliver items if required.
  • Conduct inventory checks using scanners or computer systems to maintain stock accuracy.

Documentation and Teamwork:

  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all returns, including repairs, recycling, and scrapped items.
  • Collaborate closely with RMA Coordinators, warehouse staff, and repair teams to ensure efficient workflows.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse or stores roles, with tasks such as goods receipt, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Skilled in operating forklifts and using inventory management software.
  • Organized and detail-focused, ensuring high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative approach to work.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a plus.
