Overview of Role

The Material Handler is responsible for physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving storing and shipment of service parts and equipment including maintaining records of goods in and out.

  • Receiving materials into the spare parts warehouse and inventory management system
  • Checking for damaged or missing materials versus delivery paperwork
  • Sorting and placing materials onto racks or shelves.
  • Moving materials around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift / bendi truck
  • Picking and packing orders for delivery or pickup
  • Loading and sometimes delivering orders
  • Performing warehouse inventory control via a warehouse scanner or computer
  • Prepares and maintains paperwork records of orders shipped.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse / store's environment, covering goods inward, picking, packing, and shipping including operating a forklift.
  • Experience of working with a computerised stock management system and computers and software.
  • Methodical and organised
  • Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook an advantage
  • Valid Counterbalance/Bendi Forklift licence

Hours of work 07:30 - 16:30
