SES Home Services is a sister company of SES Water, part of the Pennon Group. The company was founded in 1989 after water privatisation and serves both direct customers and insurance claims. Our services include boiler servicing, repair and installations; plumbing; drainage and external service pipe laying.

Our plumbing engineers carry out all aspects of domestic plumbing maintenance and repair work as well as wet central heating repairs and maintenance work and internal Drainage maintenance and repair work to meet the needs of the company, our third party providers and customers.

  • £38,000 - £40,000 per annum basic salary
  • Up to 5% bonus potential, if targets are achieved this is paid quarterly as 5% of basic earnings in those 3 months

About you

We are looking for engaged individuals who are passionate about delivering great customer service to join us on our journey and work as a Plumbing and Drainage Engineer. You will have:

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent organisation skills in terms of managing time and workload
  • Excellent technical knowledge of both Plumbing and Drainage engineering
  • Significant relevant experience within a similar role
  • Plumbing and Heating NVQ 1 and NVQ2 or recognised equivalent
  • Must be Unvented G3 qualified
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Excellent customer service skills (verbal and written communication are key)

The Day to Day job

To carry out all aspects of domestic plumbing & drainage maintenance and repair work to meet the needs of the Company and its customers including:

  • Carrying out all aspects of domestic Plumbing maintenance and repair work
  • Carrying out plumbing repair work across a range of contracts, including but not limited to insurance policy holders, housing associations and tenanted properties
  • Carrying out minor installation work, such as showers, sanitaryware and taps
  • Carrying out plumbing inspections, unvented hot water cylinder safety checks
  • You will mentor, train and support the development of apprentices and your colleagues within the engineering department, providing you with the opportunity to share your skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Carrying out drainage, maintenance and repair work essential
