Main Duties:


Working as part of a team of 5 Control Room Operators, this role covers a 24/7 shift pattern and involves working 12-hour shifts in a secure environment.


You will be responsible for:


Monitoring the companys SCADA, CCTV and fire alarm systems out of hours

Responding to alarms from Treatment Works and other company sites

Dealing with emergency contact from customers outside of office hours

  • Responsible for calling out Networks, Production and Contracts Department staff outside of normal office hours.
  • Co-ordination of planned and emergency works both inside and outside normal office hours.
  • Responsible for raising emergency jobs and obtaining Utility Drawings and issuing electronically to Contracts Gangs.
  • Responsible for the issue and return of Company keys.


About You:


You will be used to lone working on a shift basis in an operational environment with experience of responding to live situations and dealing with a reactive workload. You will be comfortable prioritising demands, making decisions within established procedures and remaining calm under pressure.


You should have the following skills:


Experience with monitoring alarm systems such as SCADA, CCTV and fire systems

Capable of using a CRM database and billing system to record customer contacts

You will need clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

You should be able to build effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

It would be ideal if you have knowledge of the water industry, our supply area and systems but we would also consider a manufacturing or security background
