A leader in detection technology are seeking a Production Manager to lead the a team of manufacturing technicians. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining clean room standards and driving continuous process improvements.

As Prudction Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of the production process - from planning and coordination to delivery and continuous improvement. You'll manage a skilled team, maintain high manufacturing standards, ensure health and safety compliance and play a pivotal role in new product introductions. The role offers long-term career progression and the chance to make a real impact in a technically advanced and meaningful sector.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department

  • Drive production output, quality, and efficiency to meet targets

  • Lead and support a team of technicians within a clean-room environment

  • Develop and report on KPIs to senior management

  • Promote cross-department collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Troubleshoot production challenges and drive cost-effective solutions

  • Maintain clean-room and health & safety compliance

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities

  • Control equipment maintenance and department budgets

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff



Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within clean-room or technical manufacturing

  • Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and documentation

  • Confident leading cross-functional teams and introducing process improvements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data and reports

  • Qualification in engineering or technical discipline preferred

  • Lean or Six Sigma experience highly advantageous
