Assistant Product Manager

Opportunity for an Assistant Product Manager with a successful, growing, satellite communications organization.

This role will suit a graduate with a technical degree background with some commercial and customer acumen and an understanding of IP networking, network communications. You will work closely with teams to understand the organizations technology and assist in translating into product offerings that are customer and benefits led.

You will become an SME in the organizations products and services and instrumental in ensuring teams are kept up to date with current and future product offerings.

You will need to be eligible for UK SC-level clearance for this role - min 5 years UK residence

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Produce/ translate technical content into customer/ benefits led output including white papers, brochures, application notes, user guides, technical service updates and input for press releases
  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications and Product teams to ensure marketing and sales collateral, user guides, FAQs and sales benefits and fact sheets are suitable and up to date.
  • Assist Communications Manager and Commercial Product Manager in product marketing launch of new products and services
  • Assist with product evaluations and provide technical product expertise in launching new products and services internally and throughout the company.
  • Support sales with customer meetings, demos and events
  • Requirements capture for internal and external software development projects.
  • Project Management of in-house projects
  • Conduct internal training course for both sales, support and other relevant back-office functions.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Technology degree
  • Good knowledge of IP networking
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • A professional and flexible approach
  • Requirements capture and application
  • Project Management concepts.
  • Flexible, customer focused and self-motivated and team player
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • Intermediate level or above with Word/Powerpoint/Excel
  • Must be organised, methodical and a good multi-tasker.
