I am partnering with a forever growing business, based on the outskirts of Redhill, whose looking for a friendly, experienced Finance Assistant to join their small team. This role will focus on processing payments, managing supplier accounts, and maintaining financial records. It's a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a friendly environment where everyone helps each other out!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and scheduling monthly payment runs
- Processing invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
- Entering payments into Sage and sending issuing remittance notices
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate supplier account records and reconciling balances
- Managing the purchase ledger inbox and responding to queries
- Handling supplier rebate reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with CIS regulations, including subcontractor verification and tax returns
- Supporting the wider finance team with general bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable
- Familiarity with Sage and CIS is beneficial but not required, training will be provided
- Strong numeracy skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
