As an Aspiring English Teacher, you'll start by working in a support role-whether as an LSA, TA, or Cover Supervisor-helping students engage with English literature and language. This position is ideal for recent graduates in English or related fields who want to make a positive impact in education while gaining hands-on classroom experience.
Pathway to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)This role serves as an excellent pathway toward a teaching career. After building experience and essential classroom skills, you'll have the exciting opportunity to advance to a SCITT (School-Centered Initial Teacher Training) program, which allows you to earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while continuing to work within the school.
