Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer looking to develop skills further in Virtualisation, Technical Projects, and IT Security.

We are seeking a proactive IT/Systems Engineer to join our client's team. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the expert on their customer servers and systems, offering technical support for IT equipment and systems across both their internal corporate infrastructure and global remote sites. This position offers a balanced workload with 50% dedicated to day-to-day systems support (BAU) and 50% focused on IT projects and infrastructure upgrades. You will also gain opportunities for training and industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining the in-house product portfolio, which includes Sophos, VMware, Windows Server, VoIP platforms, file replication, software distribution, firewall solutions, and web filtering.
  • Collaborate with the systems management team to provide 24/7 support for our customers, handling a range of hardware and software products.
  • Promote and explain the company's services and products to customers.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, including servers, NAS, SANs, IP phones, mobile devices, workstations, peripherals, and other related equipment.
  • Assist in the administration of designated customer IT equipment and networks.
  • Building the IT Hosting Infrastructure as required including Storage, Virtual Environments, Email, Backups.
  • Provide day to day hands on technical support, administration and management of customer managed IT Infrastructure and projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for internal users and clients.

About you: What do you need?

Previous experience in an MSP environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and independently on own projects.

A sound technical knowledge and experience of Windows Server 2019/22

Able to diagnose complex faults, documents, communicate and follow up corrective actions.

Solid knowledge of core Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktop environments, including building, troubleshooting, and patching.

VMware build/HA/configure experience

Ability to achieve Security Clearance (SC/DV).
