Are you an English Teacher looking for long term work within schools?  Do you have experience working with 11-18 year olds with additional learning requirements and Challenging Behaviour?

Look no further - we have the ideal role for you!

GSL Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work within a SEN school in Nottinghamshire, where providing 1:1 and group support if required. The role includes working children who have complex behavioural needs and using sports as a therapeutic method to manage challenging behaviours and to support the child’s learning away from the classroom.

The role includes:

  • Planning lessons against the National Curriculum and differentiated the work to children.
  • General Group support
  • Supporting the Class Teacher with daily tasks and planning.
  • Encourage learning and concertation in lessons
  • Acting as a positive role model, energetic and always willing to support.
  • Teaching GCSE standard English

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Experienced in working with young children in a mainstream school.
  • Experienced working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism, ADHD and Social and Emotional Mental Health
  • Relevant qualifications will be an advantage
  • Must have a good understanding of the curriculum
  • Must be able to work full time – 5 days a week.
  • Access to own car and valid drivers license (Essential)

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check – Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one)
  • 2x References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
