DK Recruitment are partnering with a Cornwall based client in their search for a Financial Accountant. This is a great opportunity to expand on your current responsibilities and skills, joining a collaborative and lovely team.  The RoleThis position is perfect for someone who thrives on digging into the details of management accounting and has a desire to understand the bigger picture of transactional finance. Key responsibilities include:
  • Producing accurate and timely group accounts.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Managing month-end and year-end processes seamlessly.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable functions.
  • Producing key financial reconciliations.
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts to inform decision-making.
  • Drafting statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
  • Implementing and enhancing financial policies for improved efficiency.
  • Supporting the creation of a data-focused finance team aligned with strategic goals.
  • Providing flexible support for finance-related projects.
About You
  • Customer-focused, open and accountable, team-driven, and committed to excellence.
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPFA, ICA) or equivalent experience. AAT Level 4 candidates with exceptional experience will also be considered.
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge and proficiency in accounting software, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven experience managing and inspiring a team to perform at their best.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
